Salsa Classes Are Growing as the days get warmer!
Now that the days are getting warmer and the sun goes down later, we've seen an increase of new faces in our classes and it makes us very happy. If you haven't yet, we hope you will join us! MAY 22ND : LIVE BAND ORQUESTA GITANO
The hottest salsa night in Monterey is about to get even hotter as Monterey Salsa brings Oquesta Gitano to El Palomar Restaurant. MAY 19-23 : NO CLASSES!!!
We will not be having class that week due to the floors at Chautauqua Hall being re-done. We will be back teaching on the 26th of May. We apologize for any inconvinience and hope you will join us again on the 26th.

For the past year, Monterey Salsa has gathered people from all over the Bay Area at El Palomar Restaurant for SLAMMIN' SALSA FRIDAYS! This night was our dream and thanks to all our hard work and the amount of support from people like you, on Friday April 17th, "the Hottest night for the true salseros in the 831" is going to get hotter than ever, as we celebrate our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Come join us and dance the night away with live music from the band that helped us kick off our party back in '08, MAMBO TROPICAL. Along with DJ WILLI and special guest DJ PILAS "el picoso de chicago" from Chicago's radio station "La Kalle" playing the best of salsa and more. We will also be celebrating the birthday of the man who's kept the dance floor alive with his mixes all year long, DJ WILLI. There will be special gifts at the door for the first 50 guests. Monterey Salsa has been hosting the biggest salsa party in the Monterey bay since April 08. With the holidays here and everyone's busy schedule, this is going be our last party at El Palomar for the year and we want to go out in style. NO CLASSES IN DECEMBER!
Greetings salseros y salseras! Due to the holidays and everyone's busy schedules, we have cancelled all our classes for the month of December. Classes will start again in early 2009, so keep checking back, we will announce the exact date soon. We are very grateful to all those of you who constantly attended, and we look forward to meeting new people as well as seeing familiar faces next year. Until we see each other again, keep dancing, keep safe and have a great holiday season! P.S. Our Slammin' Salsa Fridays are still happening!! Last night at the opening round of the Monterey Salsa Freestyle Championships, two winners were chosen from a field of eight.The first half of the contest saw Fernando and Terry advancing to the championships bracket, while Anthony and Ariel won the second half, securing their spot.
